Das schreibt die US Jungs zu 4 x 110 vs. 4 x 100:
Von Pinnacle Racing, Jimmy Blair
right now i am on a 4x110, TRYING to make it work.. its hard.. during practce, or training sessions, anyone can make it work..is IS fast!!!! REAL LIFE race sittuations is where the diffrence is though..
*changing speed, VERY difficult, its more wheel to move, more length, and more height to deal with
*keeping it going for a long pierod, jsut keeping the wheels going, ok, passing back and forth, moving around in the pack, fast/slow with the pack is where it takes its toll on you
*the final sprint is also where it lacks, you have less footspeed, adn have to rely FULLY on every bit of the slower pushes you give, alot of times a skater with a shorter frame with eaqual ability migth nust beat you to the line because you are moving such a long setup.
*the 3x110/1x100 give you a shorter, lower frame, thats easier to move and fast, but NOT as fast as a 4x110!
*you cant quite cruise as fast on this frame though, that one 100mm wheel does hold you back a bit.
*if you like to use your sprint, and like ot change speeds with ease, IMO the 3/1 is the frame for you!
DISCLAIMER:
I am certainly not anywhere close to the elite speedskating ranks, so take my comments with that in mind.
